<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder of which the number of signal lines for transmitting data can be reduced, a recording head driver, and a recording head. <P>SOLUTION: When video data indicates an off-state, gradation data indicative of a gradation of zero is generated. When the video data indicates an on-state, video/gradation data indicative of a gradation value except the gradation of zero is generated based on the gradation data. Each of the above gradation data and the video/gradation data is transmitted to a print head 18 via a data signal line 34. The print head 18 is equipped with an LED array 28 having a plurality of LEDs 46 and a driver IC 26. The driver IC 26 controls the LEDs 46 such that when the received video/gradation data indicates the gradation of zero, the emission of the LEDs 46 is turned off and when the received video/gradation data indicates a gradation value except the gradation of zero, the emission of the LEDs 46 is made to be in the on-state during the time period corresponding to the gradation value indicated by the video/gradation data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
