PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a support so that substitutively printed FAX paper is delivered to a recipient as soon as possible even when performing substitutive printing at a place where a plurality of image forming apparatuses are installed. SOLUTION: A present apparatus Y includes identification information for identifying the present apparatus Y, and picture information transmitted from a specific transmission source apparatus X1 includes associated information that is associated beforehand, so as to be transferred to a specific substitutive apparatus Z1. When picture information is sent from a transmission source apparatus but the present apparatus Y judges that the picture information can not be printed by itself, a substitutive destination is calculated from associated information, and the picture information is sent thereto together with identification information of the present apparatus Y. Thus, the substitutive apparatus is capable of indicating the apparatus (Y) from which the picture information is transferred, by printing attached information indicative of transfer from the present apparatus Y when substitutively printing the picture information, thereby facilitating distribution of FAX paper later.
