PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which previously checks the situation of a moving end of a camera before recording at a time of pan/tilt imaging operation. SOLUTION: The device includes a gyroscope 119 which detects movement of the imaging device, an operation status discrimination part 127 which discriminates operation status of a camera, a cut out circuit 105 which cuts out an arbitrary extended region, and a resizing circuit 107 which creates extended display data from image data of a recording area and an extended area. The device cuts out image data for a predetermined number of pixels in a moving direction of the camera which detects at the time of pan/tilt imaging, automatically displays the object image of a predetermined range out of recording ranges by extendedly displaying on a display device, and prevents imaging failure at the time of pan/tilt imaging.
