PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the influence of shake generated immediately after an operation of an image pickup start button etc. SOLUTION: An image pickup apparatus is provided with image pickup means 2, 5 each outputting image data of a photographed image; movement detecting means 3, 4 and 7 each detecting movements of the means 2, 5; a video recording start button 18b; a shake correction processing means 43 for executing shake correction processing for the image data picked up by the image pickup means 2, 5 by using the data detected by the means 3, 4 and 7 after a predetermined time elapses from the operation of the button 18b.
