PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measuring accuracy of a level gauge, by easily and inexpensively performing maintenance work of a water introducing port, without making a worker descend up to the water introducing port. SOLUTION: A rail member 6 is laid up to the vicinity of the water introducing port 5 communicating with a water level measuring tank 4, and a damper member B lifting by a hoisting means 14 is arranged along the rail member 6. When the damper member B is lowered, the damper member is arranged in a position oppositely closing to the water introducing port 5, and when the damper member is lifted, the damper member is formed so as to open the water introducing port 5. The damper member B is formed of a metallic plate-like member 10 for arranging a plurality of holes 10a for introducing water on a surface opposed to the water introducing port 5 and a shock absorbing member 11 attached to the plate-like member 10 and allowing only a flow of the water, and only the damper member is moved. The damper member B is stored and incorporated into a box 12 for arranging a hole 12a communicating with the holes 10a of the plate-like member 10, and is moved by the rail member.
