PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of effectively preventing leakage of urine and improving the wearing feel. SOLUTION: A rear back part 31, a front abdomen part 32 and a crotch part 33 are formed of an inner layer sheet 36 and an outer layer sheet 37 which are superimposed on each other. A body gather forming elastic member 39 is interposed in the extended state, and a vertically long absorber 35 is disposed along the crotch part 33. Both ends of the absorber 35 are covered by end presser sheets 50 and 51. The inner layer sheet 36 and the outer layer sheet 37 are made of a water-repellent sheet material. The end presser sheets 50 and 51 are made of a water-repellent spunbond non-woven fabric and formed in the shape of a narrow band. Double-layered areas 52 consisting of the inner layer sheet 36 and the outer layer sheet 37 are formed in the rear back part 31 and the front abdomen part 32 respectively.
