An impeller (17) connected to a drive element (2) by the clutch housing (5) and a turbine (19) connected to an output element (43) are parts of a hydrodynamic circle (24). A direct drive clutch (56) works in combination with a partition (180) positioned between the hydrodynamic circle (24) and the pressure chamber (55). A mushroom-shaped plastic element (150) serving as a non-return valve (116) facilitates an adjustment of the pressure inside the pressure chamber (55) to the pressure present within the hydrodynamic circle (24).
