<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spout assembly easy to cap, having no residual water left in the cap even if contents are sterilized by heat with a cap mounted on the spout, and capable of simply and quickly mounting/detaching the cap, an adapter or the like from the spout while keeping sealability after a sealing material is removed. <P>SOLUTION: The container spout assembly includes the spout of a container and the cap having a tamper-evident mechanism at the lower end of a screwable skirt to be placed and fitted with the spout. The spout has a regulating member having the sealing material stuck to a spout end of a pouring cylinder in cooperation with a removal and rotation regulating member of the tamper-evident mechanism. The cap has a seal where its internal threads and the tamper-evident mechanism separate from the screwed length of the internal threads and fit with the pouring cylinder. When the cap is placed and fitted with the spout, it is not screwed, and the cap can be screwed on the spout after the tamper-evident mechanism is released.
