<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion-resistant flame-retardant resin composition useful for the use as an insulated wire for an automobile or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The abrasion-resistant flame-retardant resin composition comprises 100 pts.mass base resin, 60-100 pts.mass flame retardant of a metal hydroxide treated with a silicone and 2-8 pts.mass flame retardant synergist of carbon, and is crosslinked by electron beam irradiation. The base resin is obtained by mixing 60-95 pts.mass homopolypropylene-based resin having ≥500% elongation at break (at 200 mm/min tensile rate), and ≤0.5 g/10 min MFR (at 230°C under 2.16 Kg), with 5-40 pts.mass low-density polyethylene having ≥500% elongation at break (at 200 mm/min tensile rate), and ≤0.25 g/10 min MFR (at 190°C under 2.16 Kg). As a result, proper flexibility besides excellent characteristics, i.e. heat resistance, abrasion resistance, flame retardance and the like is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
