<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a method capable of obtaining a variety of conditions which prevent an impact interference from occurring and realizing optimal jetting interval control suiting high-speed printing and high quality printing when radiation-curable inks are jetted on top of the other. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has an ink discharge means to discharge radiation-curing ink, radiation irradiation means to irradiate dots jetted on a recording medium from the ink discharge means with radiation, a dot formation conditions specifying means to specify the size of dots jetted and a pitch between adjacent dots from printing data, and a droplets jetting timing control means to set a droplet jetting interval on the basis of the information of the dot size and the dot interval and control the jetting timing of dots to be jetted thereon so as to jet dots on the dots after preliminarily curing the surfaces of dots previously impacting on the recording medium by radiation to a prescribed cured film thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
