PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of appropriately supporting channel selection by a user. SOLUTION: A Flash ROM 218 of a broadcast receiver 2 stores a color setting table wherein area identification information and colors are made to correspond to each other, a position setting table and the like. A CPU 209 controls display colors of tuning buttons based on the color setting table and the position setting table. On the assumption that "NNN combined" is allocated to a tuning button "1" and a value of area identification of "NNN combined" is "40", for example, and that the color setting table is specified to set "red" when the value of area identification is "40".
