<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simulator for compact hot lines by which the holdup quantity of slabs in a tunnel furnace and the whole throughput can be beforehand confirmed and also a plurality of decision algorithms concerning the extraction order of the slab from the tunnel furnace are compared and examined. <P>SOLUTION: This device is the simulator for the compact hot lines which is an integrated process from casting to rolling and which is composed of a plurality of continuous casting machines, the tunnel furnaces on the outlet side of which a joining equipment of a slab is provided and rolling equipment, the operation conditions of each process and the predicted value of the whole throughput are provided by calculating the start times and the finish times of the casting, heating, soaking, joining and conveyance and rolling process of the slab on the basis of a production schedule and operation parameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
