<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body composition measuring device capable of reducing complication of input by a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with: a plurality of electrodes 11 to 18 to be in contact with a plurality of prescribed sites of the body of the patient coordinated with them; a holding part 2 which can be held with the hands of the patient; a cable 3 whose one end is connected with the holding part 2; and a mounting part 1 on which the feet of the patient can be placed. The device is further provided with: a site length calculation part 101 for calculating the site length of the prescribed body site of the patient based on a pull-out quantity detected by a pull out quantity detection part and an angle detected by an angle detection part; an impedance measurement part 102 for measuring the impedance of the prescribed body site using the plurality of electrodes 11 to 18; and a body composition calculation part for calculating the body composition of the prescribed body site based on the site length of the prescribed body site calculated by the site length calculation part 101 and the impedance measured by the impedance measurement part 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
