SOLUTION: The support for the image recording material comprises base paper and at least one polyolefin resin layer formed on each side of the base paper, in which at least two polyolefin resin layers are formed on the front surface of the base paper where an image recording layer is formed and one of the polyolefin layers except the outermost polyolefin resin layer furthest from the base paper contains a polypropylene resin, the content A (mass%) of the polypropylene resin is higher than the content B (mass%) of the polypropylene resin contained in the outermost polyolefin resin layer.
