<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator controller which can correctly estimate an air gap by eliminating a search coil from an electromagnetic actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic actuator controller is provided with a current detecting means for detecting exciting current flowing in an exciting coil; a first control means for applying a PWM driving signal of a first duty ratio to a first switch means for first prescribed time, and applying a PWM driving signal for turning off a first switch to the first switch means; a current integration value calculating means for integrating exciting current detected by the current detecting means, and calculating a current integration value until second prescribed time elapses after the first switch is turned off; an air gap conversion map storing a corresponding relation of the respective current integration values and air gap length; and an air gap conversion means for converting the air gap into air gap length corresponding to the current integration value calculated by the current integration value calculating means by referring to the air gap conversion map. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
