PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel capable of maintaining a picked-up image on a high quality condition by preventing light from being reflected on the surface of a sub guide shaft. SOLUTION: The collapsible mount type lens barrel includes a plurality of lens holding frames respectively holding a plurality of lens groups for every lens group, and a lens holding frame driving means for driving the lens holding frame. In the lens barrel, all the lens groups are positioned on the same optical axis in a photographing state, and the 3rd lens group 13 is retreated to a position different from the optical axes of the 1st lens group, the 2nd lens group and the 4th lens group 14 in a collapsible state. The lens barrel includes the sub guide shaft 33 on which a 3rd lens holding frame 31 abuts, whereby it is positioned in the photographing state, and a light shielding member 31h is interposed between the optical axes of the lens groups and the sub guide shaft 33 in a state where the 3rd lens holding frame 31 abuts on the sub guide shaft 33.
