摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow meter which uses a long pipe length and allows high-precision measurement. SOLUTION: When an ultrasonic transmitter-receiver 12 is placed on the Y-axis on the surface of a fluorine resin pipe 11, deformation by an ellipse with the Y-axis being the long axis and deformation with the X-axis being the long axis occur alternately to allow vibration which does not maintain the axial symmetry of the pipe 11 to propagate in the longitudinal direction. To efficiently capture the traveling wave by an ultrasonic transmitter-receiver 13 on the other side, the ultrasonic transmitter-receiver 13 is provided in the positions (a) to (d) which are rotated positions by 90 degrees and provide a higher sound pressure level with respect to the position of the ultrasonic transmitter-receiver 12, thereby allowing high-precision measurement.
