PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for peeling and recovering a noble metal film where a noble metal film formed on the surface of a base material with aluminum as a substrate is peeled, and can be recovered as being in a metal state. SOLUTION: In the method for peeling a noble metal film, a base material in which aluminum is used as a substrate, and a noble metal film of gold, silver, a platinum group or the like is formed on the surface is dipped into an alkali liquid, and the aluminum substrate layer is subjected to alkali dissolution, thus the noble metal film is peeled without being dissolved, and is subjected to solid-liquid separation, and the peeled noble metal is recovered in a metal state.
