PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane module which hardly short-cuts air injected from the module lower part to a side surface nozzle and is capable of improving air dispersive properties upon the air cleaning. SOLUTION: The hollow fiber membrane module comprises: an upper adhesion fixation part in which the upper end part of a hollow fiber membrane bundle and a tubular housing are adhered and fixed to each other in such a state that the hollow fiber membrane bundle composed of a plurality of hollow fiber membranes are inserted into the tubular housing having the side surface nozzle and the end surface of hollow fiber membranes is opened; and a lower adhesion fixation part in which the lower end part of the hollow fiber membrane bundle and the tubular housing are adhered and fixed to each other in such a state that the end surface of hollow fiber membranes is closed. Therein, the lower adhesion fixation part has a plurality of through-holes 7 and, when the region of the lower adhesion fixation part is divided into a side surface nozzle side region (region A) 8 and the region (region B) 9 other than the side surface nozzle side region by a flat plane 10 which is vertical to the flat plane formed by the center point of the adhesion surface between the tubular housing and the side surface nozzle and the center line in the longitudinal direction of the tubular housing and passes through the center line 5 in the longitudinal direction of the tubular housing, the rate of perforation of the lower adhesion fixation part in the region B is higher than that in the region A.
