PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat membrane element in which particles that are flocculated and stuck on its rear surface after passing through the membrane of a large pore diameter can be washed and thereby performance degradation with the lapse of time can be prevented. SOLUTION: The flat membrane element comprises a filtered water flow passage inside and a filtered water suction tube 4 at its upper part.
