Abstract of the Disclosure A vehicle suspension system including a pair of spring seat retainers. One of the spring seat retainers includes a flange and a pocket portion extending from the flange to a distal rim. A jounce bumper is mounted to the pocket portion of the spring seat retainer and extends from the rim. A band encircles the rim for preventing deformation of the rim upon compression of the jounce bumper.
