The stripping nozzles with flow of fluid loaded with solid particles can form a C- or D-shaped stripping front, causing a difference in stripping efficacy. Certain irregularities of thickness and/or hardness of the layer to be stripped can accentuate the deformation of the stripping front. The present invention aims at remedying drawbacks by coupling the nozzle to means controlling the stripping front in real time. The invention concerns a stripping device comprising a nozzle (100) coupled to at least one device for monitoring (102) the stripping front (FD) to adapt a forward moving speed increase of the nozzle (100) if the stripping front (FD) is D-shaped, and a forward moving speed decrease of the nozzle (100) if the stripping front (FD) is C-shaped, so as to make the shape of the stripping front (FD) substantially rectilinear.
