<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material having high surface glossiness, high level water resistance, enhanced heat resistance and chemical resistance and excellent productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording material is constituted by arranging a thermal recording layer developing a color by heat on a supporting body, and further arranging an intermediate layer and (a) a protecting layer containing a resin emulsion thereon in series. In the thermal recording material, (a) the resin emulsion comprises (b) an organic particle represented by a non alkali swelling resin emulsion of particle size of 80 mm or less and/or an inorganic particle represented by a colloidal silica, (c) an alkali swelling resin, and (d) a carboxyl group containing polyethylene wax emulsion of particle size of 200 nm or less, further a crosslinking agent is not present in the protecting layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
