<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate capable of obtaining various emission light volume, obtaining uniform and high luminance, by controlling spreading range of emitted light and emission light volume, in matching with the purpose. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate comprises an incident end face part 3 guiding light, a surface part 4 emitting the light introduced from the incident end face part 3 outward, a back face part 5 located on the opposite side of the surface part 4, and side face parts 6 contiguous to the surface part 4, the back face part 5, and the incident end face part 3. A plurality of nearly triangular prisms 7a, 7b, having an edge 8 that differs in the height from each other, extending in a direction nearly perpendicular to the incident end face part 3, are arrayed along the side face part 6 on the back face part 5 of the light guide plate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
