<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator that prevents the fluctuation of a system voltage by controlling the changeover operation of a tap when voltage oscillation is generated and prevents the wear of a tap changer. <P>SOLUTION: This voltage regulator which adjusts the system voltage by changing over the taps when voltage fluctuation exceeding the dead band width of the secondary voltage is detected is constituted of an oscillation detection determination portion 12 which determines oscillation when repeated up and down operations of the tap with almost the same periods within a predetermined period of time are detected; a tap selecting portion 7 which is connected to the oscillation detection judging portion 12 and outputs to the tap changer 9 a tap fixing signal that fixes the tap to a through tap or the present tap; and a timer 8 which resets the tap to a normal tap changeover state after the lapse of a predetermined period of time from a time when the tap selecting portion 7 is operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
