<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate capable of image recording by laser scanning and developing on a machine and being excellent in thin line reproducibility and plate wear while maintaining developing property on machine good and a lithographic printing method using the lithographic printing original plate. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate has an image recording layer including a graft polymer having hydrophobic main chains and hydrophilic segments or hydrophilic main chains and hydrophobic segments on a support body, and the graft polymer has at least one of ethylenic unsaturated bonds in the molecule and the lithographic printing method using the lithographic printing original plate.
