PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing device for a vehicle which can set the spring force of an inertial force opening preventing device for preventing a lock from being released when an inertial force works regardless of the state of a locking device, and which has a higher degree of freedom in the arranging position of the inertial force opening preventing device as compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: This housing device 10 for the vehicle has a fixed member 20, a movable member 30 which is movable to an opening position, a closing position 30b and a push-in position located at a position being pushed in from the closing position 30b to the fixed member 20, and a movable member urging spring 40 which urges the movable member 30 in the opening direction to the fixed member 20. The housing device 10 for the vehicle also has the locking device 50 which locks the movable member 30 at the closing position 30b by resisting the urging force of the movable member urging spring 40, and the inertial force opening preventing device 60 equipped with a stopper 61 at least a part of which is made protrudable/retractable in a moving orbit between the closing position 30b of the movable member 30 and the push-in position, and a stopper urging spring 62 which urges the stopper 61 in a direction to go out from the moving orbit of the movable member 30.
