PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book seal binding, which hardly causes the problems of misregistration and poor adhesion even in the automatization of work for binding the seal into the book, and the book using the seal. SOLUTION: This book seal binding, wherein a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 20 is releasably bonded to a release sheet 10, is characterized as follows: the adhesive sheet 20 comprises a printing base material 21, an adhesive layer 22 which is provided on one side of the base material 21, and a printing layer 23 which is provided on the other surface; and the release paper 10 comprises a paper base material 11 mainly composed of broad leaf pulp, and a filler layer 12 and a release agent layer 13, which are sequentially provided on the adhesive sheet 20 side of the paper base material 11.
