PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit recording waveform data signals to a driving circuit of a recording head from a main body main circuit on an apparatus main body side by signal lines with less number than the number of kinds of recording waveforms. SOLUTION: The recording waveform data signals FIRE DATA are transmitted serially to a head driver from a gate array. Then, in a storing unit 35 of the head driver, the recording waveform data signals are converted in parallel to form a plurality of kinds of recording waveform signals FIRE01-36 on one recording period and to store them. Among a plurality of kinds of the recording waveform signals stored in the storing unit 35, a specified recording waveform signal is selected based on selecting data included in a driving signal SINO-2 by a selector 33, and is outputted.
