<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate rattling of the counterpart member in coupling in the rotating direction without adopting a fixing means such as welding and fix the couterpart member using the minimum necessary number of component parts. <P>SOLUTION: A fixed type constant velocity universal joint is equipped with an outer ring 10 in which a shaft-form stem part 12 extends from a mouth part 11 furnished with a plurality of track grooves 14, an inner ring 20 where a plurality of track grooves 24 are formed and a shaft 50 is fitted in coaxially, balls 30 arranged in ball tracks, and a retainer 40 to retain the balls 30, wherein splines 15 and 55 are formed on the inside surfaces of the stem part 12 of the outer ring 10 and the shaft 50 extending from the inner ring 20, while tapered threads 16 and 50 reducing in the diameter gradually toward the ends are formed on the peripheries of the stem part 12 and the shaft 50, and axially stretching slits 17 and 57 are provided in the stem part 12 and the shaft 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
