<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal apparatus and a display switching method in which an image display direction can be attractively and smoothly switched. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone 10 is provided with a video signal supply 11 for supplying a video signal, an antenna 12 for transmitting/receiving radio waves, a transmitter 13 for transmitting a signal transmitted/received by the antenna 12, a CPU 14 for performing the input/output processing of the video signal, a decoder 15 for decoding an encoded signal, a display posture detector 16 for detecting a posture direction to which a display 20 is oriented, a display control unit 17 for controlling the display of an image, a video effect processor 18 for applying a prescribed video effect, a display frame memory 19 for storing video signals, and the display 20 for displaying images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
