<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method capable of preventing a user from making an erroneous print when a printer is not provided with a function of printing optional character information and a digital camera has no function of displaying the optional character information. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU block 1043 references compatible print setting items received from the printer to verify whether or not the printer is compatible with a camera memo print. When the printer is compatible with the camera memo print, the CPU block 1043 references a control program of a ROM 108 to verify whether or not the digital camera is compatible with the camera memo print. Only when the printer is compatible with the camera memo print and the digital camera is compatible with the camera memo print and has a function of displaying the optional character information, a print setting menu including a camera memo print selection item is displayed, and in other cases, a print setting menu not including the camera memo print selection item is displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
