PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overspeed rotation of a motor generating electric power by using a power from an internal combustion engine when the internal combustion engine is operated to promote the warmup of an exhaust emission control device.
SOLUTION: When the driving of the motor connected to the crankshaft of the engine through a power distributing and integrating mechanism to which a drive shaft is connected is not limited, the engine is operated under catalyst warmup operation for warming up the catalyst of the control device controlling exhaust emission (S130 to S150). When the driving of the motor is limited, the engine is operated by normal operational control without performing the catalyst warmup operation (S160 to S180). Thus, since a higher torque than in a normal state is outputted from the engine under the catalyst warmup operation since the density of air is high when the temperature of the atmosphere is low and a torque matching the torque cannot be outputted from the motor, the motor cannot be rotated at high speeds.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
