<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagonally slide open type confectionery paper box whose opening mechanism is unique and which is provided with a lock mechanism for making it possible to easily take out confectionery in a small amount or in a large amount at a time. <P>SOLUTION: In forming this diagonally slide open type confectionery paper box 1, an inside top open rectangular parallelepiped case 2 whose inside box bottom face panel 21 is formed with an inside box left side face panel 16 is inserted in a rectangular parallelepiped case shaped sleeve 3. The inside box bottom face panel 21 structuring the case 2 is provided with a cut line x with a joining point extending to the center from its corner, a circular cut line y extending from one corner and a cut line w extending toward an inside box front side panel 22 direction from the intersection of the lines x and y. Using the folding line i of the inside box back side face panel 20 of the case 2 as a hinge, the left side face panel 16 part of the inside box is slid diagonally for opening.
