<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine capable of achieving early rise of temperature of engine oil by reducing amount of engine oil in an oil pan and avoiding suction of air due to shortage of engine oil. <P>SOLUTION: Oil repellent film treatment is applied on engine oil flowing-down faces such as an inner peripheral face 7a of an engine block 7 constituting the engine 1 and an inner peripheral face of an oil dropping hole 15 formed in the engine block 7. As an oil repellent film, a film for reducing adhesion of oil by coating such as special fluororesin is used. By performing this treatment, engine oil supplied into the engine block can be quickly returned into the oil pan, and early rise of temperature of engine oil can be achieved while reducing amount of engine oil in the oil pan and avoiding suction of air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
