<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network connection technique by which a device can easily be connected to a network without placing a large load on an existent network device nor an administrator. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of devices 1 and 2 have management-side functions 35 and 57 of providing address information for connections with the network at requests from other devices, and an activation means 59 for activating the managing-side function.
