PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus using liquid toner, which includes a carrier supply cartridge that is capable of preventing an occurrence of clogging by a simple configuration and easy to attach/detach. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus using liquid toner in which toner is dispersed in liquid carrier includes a recovered liquid carrier conveyance passage along which liquid carrier recovered from a recovering position is conveyed by falling by the gravity. The liquid carrier supply cartridge is detachably connected to part of the recovered liquid carrier conveyance passage. A recovered carrier temporarily storing function is imparted to the liquid carrier supply cartridge.
