PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic proximity switch system capable of setting an auxiliary lock to a sliding door, for guarding a double sliding door, by one cable type magnetic proximity switch. SOLUTION: When both lock members 12A and 12B exist in a lock releasing position, both an outdoor sliding door 2 and an indoor sliding door 3 can be freely opened and closed. When the lock member 12B is set in a lock position, the outdoor sliding door 2 or the indoor sliding door 3 can be secondarily locked in a half-opening state. When the lock member 12A is set in the lock position, simultaneously when both sliding doors 2 and 3 are secondarily locked in a closing state, since a magnet 20 and a reed switch 31 are opposed, a guarding device detects that both sliding doors 2 and 3 are closed.
