PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote rescue operation device for an elevator capable of performing remote rescue by disengaging a brake while remotely checking the car position by utilizing the equipment installed in an existing elevator without adding any new equipment as much as possible. SOLUTION: The remote rescue operation device comprises a car 4, a camera 6 to pick up an image of the presence of passengers in the car and the situation in the car, a landing determination device 7 to determine the landing situation of the car, and a transmitter to transmit the image from the camera and the landing signal from the landing determination device to a remote control device 9, and a brake is remotely disengaged from the remote control device side while checking the image from the camera and the landing signal from the landing determination device.
