PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing driving stability and ground followability while maintaining rolling resistance by devising a structure of a carcass layer. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is structured so that a carcass layer 4 formed by covering a plurality of carcass cords with carcass compound is laid between a right and a left bead portions 3, 3, includes a half radial structure in which the carcass cord is inclined in a tire radial direction, wherein the storage modulus of elasticity E'(MPa) at 20°C of the carcass compound is 15≤E'≤18 and the loss tangent tanδat 20°C is 0.10≤tanδ≤0.25.
