PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a printed tape for cut-processing in a state suitable for various uses by combining and controlling a full-cut mechanism and a partial-cut mechanism. SOLUTION: The cutting control device for a tape printer comprises a thermal head 18 for printing on a print tape of a laminated tape formed by laminating the print tape to a release tape and a cutting section 23 for cutting the tape. The cutting section 23 is structured of the full-cut mechanism Z which cuts a laminated tape 24 and the partial-cut mechanism V which cuts only a print tape 28. A second control means 48 is provided in a controller 47 so as to link and operate the full-cut mechanism Z and the partial-cut mechanism V and to perform a partial cutting by a print part 18 therein and a complete cutting in a non-print part formed before every print part.
