PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden material at comparatively low costs, which can improve the strength of the surface of a wooden material body, and enable to unify the color tone of the surface without attachment of a decorative sheet or the like. SOLUTION: The wooden material 1 has many groove parts 4 arranged side by side on the entire surface of plywood 2, and a surface reinforcing layer 6 formed of a resin layer filled in the groove parts 4. The groove parts 4 are formed on a veneer 3 that is the first layer of the plywood 2. The resin layer is formed from a resin liquid containing a coloring agent and filler.
