PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparatively simple apparatus for adjusting the concentrations of ions in a liquid, in which the concentrations or ratio of the ions present in the liquid can be adjusted with high precision. SOLUTION: The apparatus for adjusting the concentrations of the ions in the liquid is provided with: an anode 6 and a cathode 7 to be made present in the liquid being an object whose ion concentration is adjusted; and a DC power unit 4 for impressing a DC voltage between the anode 6 and the cathode 7. The electrostatic ion adsorption capacity of the anode 6 is made relatively different from that of the cathode 7 and any of the positive and negative ions present in the liquid is adsorbed selectively much more to adjust the concentrations of the ions in the liquid.
