A television system transmits preference information on a preferred program matched with user's preference from a television broadcast reception device to an operation terminal and transmits information on that a preferred program exists on the operation terminal. A User selects the preferred program and the television system transmits the program selection information to the television broadcast reception device. Thus, is possible to provide a television system including a television broadcast reception device and an operation terminal enabling a user to view a program matched with the user's preference.
