The method involves receiving an infrared (IR) radiation, which is reflected from a surface (3) by a radiation receiver (6). Areas (2) of the surface are visualized by visualization and video display devices (7, 8), which indicate an increased intensity of the reflected radiation compared to surrounding areas of the surface. An image acquisition device which is sensitive for IR radiation is used as radiation receiver.
