<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic coating material having ensured compatibility between a π-conjugated conductive polymer and a hard coat component and being capable of forming a coating film having both antistatic properties and transparency, to provide a hard coat layer having both antistatic properties and transparency as well as a high hardness, and to provide an optical filter having a hard coat layer having both antistatic properties and transparency as well as a high hardness. <P>SOLUTION: The antistatic coating material comprises a π-conjugated conductive polymer, a solubilized polymer, a phase transfer catalyst, and a hard coat component, and an organic solvent.
