PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of controlling a voltage of vertical signal lines provided to each pixel array of the imaging device to a voltage appropriate to a high speed operation. SOLUTION: The vertical signal line 4 is connected to each pixel array in each of imaging sections 2A wherein pixels 3 are arranged in an array. Each of voltage application circuits 2B for applying a voltage V0 between a power supply voltage Vdd and a reference voltage Vss to each of the vertical signal line 4 is connected to each of the vertical signal lines 4.
