PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device with a manifold having a reduced size and requiring less man-hours for assembling work. SOLUTION: The combustion device comprises a combustion casing 2 having a plurality of longitudinal burners 4 arranged inside side by side in the longitudinal direction, and the manifold 8 mounted on the combustion casing to close an opening 22 formed in a front plate portion 21 of the combustion casing. Gas is jetted from a gas nozzle 81 of the manifold 8 into gas flow-in ports 4a of the burners in the combustion casing. The manifold has a reduced size and requires less man-hours for assembling work to reduce cost. A opening forming position on the front plate portion 21 of the combustion casing 2 is offset backward from the front plate portion 21 on the upper side of the position to form a longitudinal step face 23 at the upper edge of the opening forming position.
