PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous water gate valve installing method for an existing fluid pipe and a gate valve installing device capable of shortening the installing process without requiring works to install again a power transmitting means after a gate valve is installed. SOLUTION: The power transmitting means 28 and a cover 2 able to cover it watertightly are installed on the oversurface of a top lid 5 placed on the gate valve 4, and the cover 2 is removed after the valve element 7 side of a casing 10 is sealed watertightly with the top lid 5, and thereby the installing process can be shortened without requiring the operation of installing again the power transmitting means after the gate valve is installed.
