PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition having the heat resistance, moisture resistance and crack resistance in a cured epoxy resin product in combination. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition comprises, as essential components, (A) an epoxy resin and (B) an epoxy-modified organopolysiloxane shown by a general formula (1), wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom or a 1-6C straight or branched chain aliphatic hydrocarbon group, X represents a substituent shown by a general formula (2) or a general formula (3) wherein R<SP>2</SP>represents a bivalent aliphatic group of 1-10 carbon atoms and 0-5 oxygen atoms, Y represents R<SP>1</SP>or X, a and b represent integers of 1-300, a/b is 0.1-300 and plural R<SP>1</SP>, X and Y each may be same or different.
